Our philosophy

"Vintage tone, modern technology"

OK. Vintage amps sound great, right? Most guitarists have at some point had a go on an old Fender or Marshall or something similar. So, wanna sound great, get a vintage amp.

Problem is that vintage amps, by their very nature, are old. Buying a vintage amp is much like buying a classic car, there are a lot of trade-offs involved. Keeping an old amp in top condition is a difficult job, most of the parts that went into its construction are simply not made any more, so if you want to keep it in the best working condition, you have to sacrifice its originality and resale value.

For better or worse, technology has progressed massively since the '60s and 70's. What we do is look back to the sounds we all know and love, and use modern components and construction techniques to recreate those sounds, without the inherent compromises of vintage gear. To analogise, its like buying a classic car and putting a modern engine in it. It still looks fantastic and sounds great, but its reliable and economical.
